Oriental Sketch

I’ve been inspired with Asia for a long time. Its ancient culture and modern look intertwined in my works since the begining.

The other one — Oriental sketch- combines old traditions ( details of clothing and symbolic flowers) and present days (modern architecture).

I took as prototypes images of Apsara dancer, Chiharu Okunugi with chrysanthemums, girl wearing hanbok with hibiscus, woman in nón lá with lotus buds, court lady wearing clothing of Tang dynasty. You can see the stylisation of Andrew Ivaskiv’s photo among them.

I used several images of contemporary German, Japanese and Portuguese buildings to present the idea. Here is the list of these pictures:
— HouseK / Hiroyuki Shinozaki Architects
— House on the Hostert / Uwe Schröder Architekt
— Cube Court House / Shinichi Ogawa & Associates
— Casa NN / Kozo Yamamoto
— Paramos House / Atelier Nuno Lacerda Lopes
— House in Gokurakuji / Kawabe Naoya Architects
All buildings were chosen randomly.
